Yesterday, as suggested by my friends Nijah and Briana, we went to a cat cafe! It's called Meow Parlour, located at 46 Hester Street in Chinatown. They take appointments, but we went for a walk-in. While you wait, there's a cafe around the corner with snacks and some cat themed treats and gifts.
When there was space available for us, they notified the cafe and we headed over. The cats were so cute, but to be honest, cute is an understatement (I am a crazy cat lady though, so I may be biased). When you go in, it's 30 minutes for $5 each! You're allowed to pet, play and just watch the cats if you wish once you're inside. I also think all the cats are up for adoption, which is really great because every cat deserves a good home. Here's some shots I took of them:
After that, we decided to get some food! No one was in the mood for Chinese even though we were in Chinatown LOL, so we walked a few minutes right into Little Italy (one of the reasons I love living in the city so much). We stumbled upon this place called Sal's, and had pretty good pizza!
We stopped at Vivi's for Briana, and of course I have to take advantage of a mirror. We took a cute picture together!!
Wondering what we should do next, I remembered last time Nijah & I hung out, we wanted to check out the Whitney! None of us had ever been there before, so we decided to continue our journey. Listen, walking in the city is definitely good exercise, but after a while it's just f***ing tiring! Briana hailed us a cab like a damn pro (add me on Snapchat while it's still there to see it haha @petalprincess). I really enjoyed the Whitney Museum, and it was a nice way to spend a cloudy day indoors.
The museum even has some cool outdoor artwork and a beautiful view!
If you take a trip to the museum, it's conveniently located next to the High Line, so we took a little trip down there. If you've never heard of it, the High Line is like an elevated railroad park that stretches 1.45 miles with a beautiful view. We decided to go up and ran into this creepy but really cool sculpture.
It was a really fun day, and if you go to any of these places or have suggestions of places to check out, comment and let me know! (✿◠‿◠)
