I remember waking up one day, seeing a tweet from YouTuber/Musician Troye Sivan saying tickets for his first U.S. shows were going on sale and I flipped. I really grew to like him as a personality as well as a singer over the course of a few months. When I see anyone I like is going on tour, I immediately freeze and ask myself two questions: 1) Do I have the money? and 2) Do I have the money? LOL. But in all seriousness, in my live I've decided to put experience over everything else and I knew I was going to regret it if I didn't at least try to get a ticket. I bought mine as soon as tickets went on sale, and somehow by a strange miracle I got one.
When the day of the concert actually came (which was about two weeks ago), I was kind of anxious because I was going by myself, and it was my first general admission show. I felt like I was going to be bored waiting around for hours for Troye to go on, but again, miraculously I wasn't alone. I met two people, Larissa and a rising YouTuber who goes by the name Handsmile who were totally awesome! After dancing uncontrollably to a DJ who was probably just shooting the shit with a Spotify playlist, Troye finally came on and gave such a good show! It was unreal being in such an intimate venue and I'm glad I got to experience him on tour before he gets even bigger.
Here are some pictures and a couple clips from the show which I apologize in advanced for but I was not lugging around a DSLR at that time of night giiirl:
This is his song Ease, which is my favorite.
Here he was talking about what it's like being in New York City
If you haven't heard of/listened to him you should! He has really great music and his album is coming out in December so you've got a little time before then! I'm so glad I went and I would do it all over again if I could. Thanks for putting on such a great show Troye <3
